Hey animal people! Y'all know that our pets are our lives. We adore them, we worship them, we give them all the love and attention that they deserve and then some. So you can imagine that we don't take well to people insulting our pets. It does not matter if the insult is told in a joking tone, or that the insulter didn't 'mean it.' We don't care, you do not insult our pets, and especially when you're in the pet owner's home. It's extremely rude and offensive.

You can imagine the situation that the original poster of this AITA Reddit thread was faced with, after that descriptive opening paragraph. Yup, you guessed it. Some a-wipe insulted her pets, her cats to be specific. After a rough break, OP's twin brother comes to stay with her for a bit. He brings along his BFF to say hi and check out the cats, only to have this lead to the BFF making ugly comments towards OP's cats. The audacity is strong with this one. Now, please escort yourself far far away from OP's home and her beautiful cats. And OP, don't for a second think that you did something wrong here.
